Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford is a perfect business.

The Portuguese forward will make his first appearance at the Theatre of Dreams since leaving the club in 2009 when Juventus visit in the Champions League on Tuesday.

And Mourinho, who managed Ronaldo at Real Madrid, thinks it is a great move for both club and player.

"I think it's perfect business," Mourinho told RT Sport.

"For the club, because they get a player with a huge impact and a player who can make the difference on the pitch.

"For the player, because he comes to a club where he is loved and where he can still be a key player."

Ronaldo has scored 118 goals in 292 appearances for United, and Mourinho believes he can still be a force at the age of 33.

"He's still a top player," Mourinho added.

"He's a player who can score goals and make a difference in any team."
